Frequently Asked Questions

Below is a collection of the most commonly asked questions related to skip bin hire in South East Queensland.

The bin size varies on the amount of waste you have to dispose of and how efficiently you place the waste into your skip. It is important to avoid dead space in your skip and put some thought into how best to fill the bin with the waste that you have. If you’re unsure what size of bin is right for your project please call us and we will be happy to provide some guidance.

The industry standard for skip bin hire is one week or seven days. Our online booking system allows you to book for a maximum of 7 days. If you require a bin for a longer period of time then please call us prior to hiring your bin.

We have a few payment options available. You can pay instantly online with your credit card, over the phone or pay on delivery.

The skip hire pricing is calculated on the bin size, weight and type of waste placed in the bin. If you put the wrong type of waste in the bin it will cost us more to dispose of it, and as a result you will be charged additional fees to cover the cost.

It is unsafe to transport skip bins that are overfilled. Items can dislodge from the bin and fly into other road users which is extremely dangerous. If you overfill the bin we will not be able to collect it. You will need to remove the overfilled items and may be charged additional fees for extra hire time.

If you finish with your skip hire early and would like it collected ahead of schedule please contact us. We will make an effort wherever possible to collect the bin early (schedule dependent).

Some councils make it illegal to place a skip bin on public land such as nature strips and roads without a council permit or prior approval. Other councils are not so strict. Please contact us to discuss your options.

In most cases you will not need any type of permit from council, however some require it where the bin is placed on public land or nature strips etc.

Yes, of course. You can hire another bin and we can do a “swap out”. When our truck arrives it will place your new empty bin and remove your full skip so you can continue your project.
